I just fell.

Just for Fun, Lifestyle/Personal

No really, I just fell off of the chair in my kitchen and I scared the crap out of my dog. He jumped and tried to run away but he slid all over the floor. He gave me a dirty look and walked away. Sitting there, with my boney bum on the floor, I couldn’t help but laugh and laugh some more. My laughter intensified and I did my famous so-ugly-it’s-kinda-cute snort.

Laughter is truly the best medicine.

Hope you have a Monday filled with laughter.

Reunited but it’s not the Same

Family Time, Just for Fun, Lifestyle/Personal

While on vacation for a week, we left our puppy with Club Paws. It’s a boarding house that finds the perfect match for your puppy. Waffles stayed with an older couple for an entire week and he finally came home yesterday.

Although Club Paws took great care of him and Waffles had a wonderful time with the couple, I was a little jealous when I heard that he loved cuddling with his parents-for-the-week. He’s my puppy – don’t cuddle. I think my entire family was scared that when he came home he wouldn’t recognize us or that he wouldn’t want to come home.

Cheryl dropped Waffles off at home early in the morning yesterday and at first he was extremely excited but then he just walked off by himself and ignored all of us.

Cheryl said that it is normal for your dog to snub you a bit for the first few days, considering that we literally abandoned him for a week I understand how he feels. I cannot wait until he’s back to normal though. He was so mopey last night and refused to give me kisses!

I definitely recommend Club Paws if you find yourself in a situation where you need your dog to have a little vacation – he was treated well, the couple fell in love with him, he was treated the same way we treat him at home. However, I don’t think I’ll be able to leave him with someone else again – with my sister gone this house already feels too empty for my liking!

Hope you have a Happy Tuesday and remember to give your pup a kiss!

Open Up the Dog House…

Family Time, Just for Fun

If you’re a regular on my blog you’ll know that the pride and joy of our family is this little guy…

He is quite honestly Papa Vince’s best friend, however even their relationship has been having trouble lately 😉 . On Sunday I was sitting in the dinning room, with my computer, notebook, and homework spread out among it – just minding my own beeswax when I noticed my dad running into the family room. Just a heads up, Papa Vince doesn’t run – anywhere. Why was he running? Well he was racing my dog to the couch because he didn’t want the him to take his spot.

Obviously Waffles won because all I heard from the family room was, “Aw come on buddy, you can’t sit there. That’s Daddy’s seat. Move over like a good boy…”

SILENCE.

Then, “…please?”

A few minutes later I heard, “See, isn’t that better? Daddy gets his seat and you get yours. Isn’t that comfy?”

I should probably tell you that my dad is a six-foot-Italian-mafia-look-alike, which makes this whole scenario a lot funnier in person. I damn near peed in my pants listening to this interaction between him and my dog. I bet if Waffles didn’t move, my Dad would have sat somewhere else and Waffles would have certainly been in the dog house! It’s a good thing we all know whose boss around here 😉

Now I’ll leave you with a Dean Martin and Nat King Cole  tune – one of my personal faves!

Have a fantastic Tuesday! I’m going to try to stay away from the computer today – so I’ll see you Wednesday!

P.S. Stay inspired!
